AED Operator Course

 

With approximately 13% of workplace casualties being cardiac arrest victims*, it is no surprise that an AED is becoming the equipment of choice. For every minute that passes without an AED the casualty loses approximately 10% chance of survival.

 

Our AED operator course is for those organisations that have an onsite AED and are looking to train or update their staff in its effective use.

 

Syllabus

 

The AED operator programme will support learners to understand the following:

  • Causes of Cardiac arrest

  • Chain of survival

  • Basic Life support

  • Casualty management

  • Use of an AED

  • Safety implications

  • Maintenance and care of the AED
